Randstad Education is currently recruiting for a DT Teacher to support our client in Sheffield. The secondary school is located in Sheffield S8 and is dedicated to ensuring their students receive quality education and support to build curiosity, consideration and commitment. The setting wants a DT Teacher who can contribute not only to the education of their students but the development and enhancement of the DT department and the school as a whole.

The DT Teacher vacancy is a full time vacancy and is to start September 2024. All applicants must be available and eligible to work full time and available to start in September with potential for interview before the end of the current academic year.

To be successful in the DT Teacher role, you should:
5. (Must) Hold QTS qualification or equivalent.
6. (Must) Hold a DT qualification.
7. (Must) Hold eligibility to work in the UK.
8. Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to process one through Randstad).
9. Previous experience teaching KS3/ KS4.
10. Previous experience teaching the DT curriculum.
11. A passion for DT!
12. Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
As a DT Teacher, you will be:
13. Creating and presenting inspiring DT lessons.
14. Complete risk assessments and preparations for practicals.
15. Marking and assessing students' work.
16. Ensure students are working towards objectives and the DT curriculum.
17. Manage the classroom to support all students' learning needs.
18. Build rapport with your students and other members of the DT department.
