Our Benefits About The Role This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our LEAD Tuition Team as a Learning Support and Admin assistant. In this role, you’ll be primarily working on enhancing the engagement for students who are often out of education, in addition to administrative tasks. The LSAA role will compromise of providing support to students to aid effective communication, access the curriculum, and participation in learning. Contributing to the monitoring, recording, and reporting of progress whilst promoting student independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion. Additional to this the role will require support with enquiries from internal and external service users: face-to-face, by telephone, letter and email in a way that positively promotes the council and its services. About The Team You’ll Be Working In LEAD (Learn, Enrich & Develop) Tuition is a new in-house service, created to support the growing needs of students unable to access traditional school environments. The service prioritises personal growth and aims to develop the skills necessary for lifelong success so every student will be empowered to achieve their full potential. About You If the points below resonate with you, we’d love you to put in an application: Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records. Managing student files, tracking attendance, and assisting with lesson preparation or resources. Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication to support students, staff, and parents effectively. Handling phone calls, emails, and other communication with parents, and stake holders. Learning Support: Assisting tutors in delivering lessons, including working one-on-one with students needing extra help. Supporting students with specific learning needs, providing guidance and assistance during tutoring sessions. Interpersonal Skills: Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to foster a supportive learning environment. Displaying patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students who may struggle academically or need additional support. Adaptability: Flexibility in handling various tasks, from administrative duties to learning support, and being able to adjust to the changing needs of the service and students. Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with, tutors, and other staff to support the educational goals of the school or organization.
