F-11) Contrat CDI Description de la BU EPR-e, subsidiary of EDVANCE, is responsible for the design and support to construction for the Hinkley Point C project, but also for the Sizewell C project. EPR-e acts as Responsible Designer and covers the whole scope of the plants the Balance of Nuclear Island (BNI) and the Conventional Island (CI) and Balance of Plant (BoP). The Joint Design Office (JDO) gathers members from the Client and from the Responsible Designer (EPR-e). Within its scope of delegated authority, the JDO provides technical support to the HPC site for the resolution of technical issues arising during erection and commissioning. Description de la mission The position is located on Hinkley Point C site. The JDO HVAC NI Technical Lead operationally reports to the JDO HVAC Discipline Lead and functionally to the Systems discipline manager. His/her main area of focus is the Nuclear Island and Balance of Nuclear Island. The JDO HVAC NI Technical Lead will participate, coordinate, lead in and/or support activities performed on HPC Site. Those activities comprise: Assesses HVAC requests (Switch/CCIS) that may impact HVAC discipline: Gathering all input data needed to make the assessment Assessing and listing the impacts of the site change on the HVAC, layout design and other stakeholders Producing technical assessment and solution, with supporting justification Aeraulic calculation, Anchor plates calculation, System analysis, Interfaces, Guaranty the design intent, Update deliverables produced by the RD Back-Office if needed. Liaising with design Responsible Designer Back-Offices (Edvance Paris, CNEPE or EPR-E Bristol) when needed Liaising with execution designer when needed Liaising with NNB contract Team and construction Team Writing CTS (Contract Transfer Sheet) if needed, Do the surveillance on execution designer deliverable related to site request. Opening the dedicated change process if needed Manage all change process and OPM, acting as the JDO-DT Design Change coordinator and OPM coordinator for HVAC topic Reporting to the HVAC Discipline Lead achievements, progresses and difficulties and raising alerts on any aspects of the design when identified Contributing to the closure of design open points after the delivery of HVAC design packages to site Anticipating and raising alerts on open technical points Collecting and organizing the lessons learnt (OPEX, FAREX, etc.) Managing and monitoring the modifications requested by the various engineering teams, contractors and the client. Regularly carrying out system engineering reviews (with all the engineering teams involved). Mentor junior engineers of the team and support training sessions to ensure proper upskilling of the team members. PERSPECTIVES Positions following this position can be in a wide range of nuclear engineering professions: Group Lead Fluid Specialist / Expert HVAC On Site Commissioning Lead Profil General and technical background expected Essential: Qualified to Degree Level and several years of experience in HVAC At least 5 years of experience in the Nuclear industry Good knowledge of 2D and 3D design software (AutoCAD, Navisworks) Experience on 3D model visualisation for layout analysis Good knowledge and understanding of general HVAC layout rules and HVAC system for a nuclear project Knowledge of the general operation of nuclear power station and the associated safety aspects (in particular, aspects relating to nuclear safety, flooding, fire, radiological protection, high energy line ruptures, etc.) Microsoft Office Fluent in English Desirable: Experience in HVAC design or installation, Experience of UK design context and regulatory processes, Experience of HPC Skills required The engineer should possess good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. The HVAC Technical lead has the ability to take a strategic view, manage a multiplicity of interfaces, summarise, be proactive, and meet commitments and deadlines. The engineer will be required to write clearly-expressed and well-presented technical documents and apply logical thinking.
