The role We are seeking an Analyst for the Americas region to assist in our vehicle forecasting group. This position will allow the right candidate the ability to be part of a dynamic and analytical team and contribute to GlobalData’s position as an industry leader. What You'll Be Doing Conduct research and assist in analysis in the Americas with a focus on Latin American light vehicle markets, including applicable legislative factors, electrified vehicle sales, powertrains installed in vehicle production, vehicle sourcing trends and other marketspecific research. Gather and analyze automotive industry competitive intelligence utilizing both primary and secondary research, focusing on engines, transmissions, electric motors and battery data in the region and globally. A willingness to reach out to industry contacts and/or establish an information source network is required. Utilize and apply GlobalData’s proprietary forecast methodology and system to develop insightful forecast conclusions. Coordinate with global powertrain team to integrate global actions, timing and sourcing changes as well as global brand and group strategies. Provide written commentary, analysis and rationale to support powertrain outlook services. Meet all forecast service internal and external deadlines and ensure highest level of quality. Assist in GlobalData client support, including answering forecastrelated questions, intelligence sharing and presenting trends and analysis. What We're Looking For Bachelors’ degree or undergraduate equivalent; preferably in business, finance, economics, or marketing. 2-3 years’ relevant automotive industry experience with a focus in research, market trends, forecasting/analysis, or business planning. Powertrain experience with an automotive OEM or supplier is strongly preferred. Interest in the comprehension of key principles of light vehicle combustion engines, varying transmission types and expanding advanced electrification technologies including hybrid, plugin and fuel cell vehicle powertrains. Initiative based, personally-driven performer; must possess good communication skills and be team-oriented. Bilingual in English and Spanish is required, Portuguese a plus. Proficiency in complete Microsoft Office with expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
