Company Overview: Our client is a nationwide contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refurbishment and construction projects. They are currently looking for a Site Manager to join their Social Housing Refurbishment division. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term regeneration contract based in South London, contributing to key social housing projects. Key activities will involve: • Internal Works: Kitchen & Bathroom refurbishments, Internal Decorations • External Works: Windows, Doors, Roofing, Balconies, Concrete and Brickwork Repairs • Cladding Works: Removal and replacement of external cladding systems, including but not limited to rain-screen cladding, insulation, fire-resistant barriers, and associated external façade works. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all on-site activities, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard and within the agreed project timelines. • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery. • Maintain and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on site, ensuring compliance with regulations. • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site, including project progress, quality control, and resolving any issues that arise. • Ensure the project remains within budget and assist with resource allocation and material management. • Provide regular updates to senior management and clients regarding project progress, issues, and solutions. • Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks, ensuring high standards of work are being maintained. • Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and health and safety regulations. • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. Requirements: • Experience: Proven experience in social housing refurbishment, ideally with a contractor, demonstrating longevity in previous roles. • Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of internal and external refurbishment works, including kitchen & bathroom refurbishments, windows, doors, roofing, cladding, and external façade systems. • Cladding Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing cladding replacement and installation projects, with a solid understanding of both traditional and modern cladding systems. Familiarity with fire safety and building regulations relating to cladding is essential. • Certifications: Valid CSCS Card is required. • Management Skills: Experience in managing multiple trades, subcontractors, and teams on site. • Personal Attributes: Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proactive and solution-driven approach. • Location: Candidates must be based in or around South London Benefits: • Competitive salary of up to £55,000 per annum. • Company van and fuel card. • Opportunity to work on a prestigious, long-term regeneration project within the social housing sector. • Career development and progression opportunities within a nationwide contractor.
