If you have a proven track record within both sides of the ledger and thrive in fast-paced settings, this is your chance to join a friendly finance team and make a significant impact What You’ll Do: Purchase Ledger Management: Process, authorise, and match purchase invoices to orders. Onboard new suppliers and manage entries on the purchase ledger/job costing system. Reconcile supplier accounts, prepare BACS payments, and handle supplier financial interactions. Efficiently close and transfer details from the purchase ledger to the nominal ledger. Sales Ledger Management: Keep the sales day book updated, issue, and process invoices. Manage new customer entries on the sales ledger and handle invoices on supplier e-invoicing platforms. Conduct credit control activities and ensure timely debt payments. Manage the closure and transfer of the sales ledger to the nominal ledger. Cashbook Management: Maintain and reconcile the cashbook with bank statements and ledgers. Report daily bank balances to the Managing Director and ensure accurate financial records. Additional Responsibilities: Administer credit and charge cards, ensuring detailed transaction analysis. Update sustainability data for Board reports and manage carbon offset charges. Provide necessary support to the accounts team, covering for colleagues as needed. Who You Are: Experienced: You have substantial hands-on experience managing both sales and purchase ledgers in a busy environment. Skilled: Comfortable using multiple software platforms Detail-Oriented: Your attention to detail is unmatched, and you possess excellent reconciliation skills.
