We are looking for an analytical, detail-oriented professional with a knack for negotiation and a passion for supply chain management. As Purchasing Coordinator you will ensure supply certainty for their customers by building strong supplier partnerships, optimizing costs, accurately forecasting demand, and maintaining efficient stock management. This role is pivotal in supporting seamless operations and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 1. Efficient Supplier Management (20% of time) Develop and maintain robust relationships with suppliers. Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure consistent stock availability. 2. Demand Forecasting and Cost Management (15% of time) Analyse market trends and historical data to accurately forecast demand and manage costs. Adjust purchasing strategies based on data insights. 3. Purchase Order Processing (25% of time) Generate and confirm purchase orders. Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and avoid supply chain disruptions. 4. Stock Management (15% of time) Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and overstock. Adjust stock practices in line with demand forecasts and operational needs. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration (15% of time) Collaborate with sales, production, transport, and goods-in departments. Align purchasing strategies with company objectives and address supply-related issues. 6. Supplier Evaluation and Budget Tracking (5% of time) Evaluate and select suppliers. Track purchasing budgets and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. 7. Reporting and Process Improvement (5% of time) Prepare reports on purchasing activities. Resolve supplier issues and identify opportunities for process improvement Requirements Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Ability to interpret complex data to make informed decisions and accurate forecasts. Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers to secure optimal terms. Capability to handle complex negotiations and resolve conflicts effectively. High accuracy in managing documents, processing orders, and forecasting. Ability to review data meticulously to ensure compliance and smooth operations. Excellent verbal and written communication for effective interaction with suppliers and internal teams. Strong interpersonal skills to promote collaboration and resolve issues. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
