Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Traffic Marshall to oversee and manage the flow of vehicles and pedestrians in designated areas on a construction project. The ideal candidate will have traffic marshall / banksman ticket and a CSCS card. They will also need to possess strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a safe environment while ensuring efficient traffic management. This role is crucial in preventing accidents and ensuring that all traffic regulations are adhered to. Duties Manage the flow of traffic in and around designated areas, ensuring safety for both vehicles and pedestrians. Communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and other team members to facilitate smooth operations. Maintain clear visibility at all times, using appropriate signals and gestures to direct traffic. Drive company vehicles as required, adhering strictly to road safety regulations. Monitor the area for any potential hazards or obstructions that may impede traffic flow. Report any incidents or accidents promptly to the relevant authorities. Assist in the setup and dismantling of traffic control equipment as needed. Requirements Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people. Strong organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. A valid driving licence is preferred for those required to drive company vehicles. Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
