GSK’s manufacturing site at Ware PSC (Pharma Supply Chain) has a vacancy for a Production Technical Operator in the Assembly function of its Respiratory manufacturing divisions.
The Production Technical Operator teams run the organisation's assembly lines for all respiratory devices manufactured at the Ware PSC site. Each Technical Operator is responsible for setting up and running a variety of assembly lines where the respiratory devices are assembled ready for onward processing in packing prior to dispatch from the site’s warehouse.
Specifically, you will be involved with setting up assembly batches (checking all details against batch documentation), booking materials onto computer tracking systems, and physically bringing the materials onto the line. You will monitor reject levels and respond to machine stoppages (identifying and correcting issues where possible or escalating to the engineering support functions if required). You will also replenish components to ensure continuous production is maintained and perform all daily and weekly checks and critical device challenges to ensure the assembly processes operate within specification to ensure consistent quality of manufacture.
There are also a variety of other online and offline tasks, including maintaining training compliance and supporting investigations, related to the successful day-to-day running of manufacturing.
SHIFT Pattern: This role will operate on the DANF – 24/5 Days & Nights “Full” (12-hour) shift pattern. This entails 2 or 3 shifts on (followed by 2 to 4 days off, depending on shift rota).
Basic Qualifications:
* Relevant manufacturing experience / qualifications working to GMP
* Previous experience (training) in Assembly-line processes
* A good standard of numeracy and literacy is essential (e.g., GCSE Mathematics & English or equivalent).
* Basic computer literacy
