We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and professional team in Canterbury. This is a part-time role with set working days on Mondays and Fridays, providing an ideal work-life balance while supporting both our general first opinion services and specialist ophthalmology services.

Salary: Up to £31,000 pro rata (Depending on Experience)
Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Working Hours: Mondays & Fridays, 8:00 am 6:30 pm
Weekend Commitment: Share of the weekend rota (Saturday mornings only)

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the veterinary team with first opinion consultations and surgeries.
* Provide support in specialist ophthalmology consultations and procedures.
* Administer medication and perform nursing procedures such as blood sampling, wound care, and patient monitoring.
* Assist with anesthetics, diagnostics, and post-operative care.
* Ensure smooth running of daily operations in both general practice and ophthalmology departments.
* Engage with pet owners, offering advice and guidance on pet care and treatment options.
* Keep detailed and accurate patient records.
* Participate in the weekend rota for Saturday morning clinics (shared schedule).
Key Requirements:
* Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in a veterinary practice with an interest or background in ophthalmology being highly desirable.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and client care skills.
* Ability to work independently on Mondays and Fridays.
* Team player, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to both pets and clients.
