Macildowie are actively seeking a Payroll Administrator to work for a well established company based in Derbyshire. This is a full time vacancy working Monday to Friday. Interim contract for minimum 6 months, potentially up to 12 months. Hybrid working available - Monday and Fridays working remotely and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office. Salary - £13 - £16 per hour depending on experience. Ideally we are looking for someone who has previous payroll experience who is able to commit for at least 6 months. Key Responsibilities and Duties include: Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees accurately and on time. Input, verify, and update employee data, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers. Calculate and process payments such as overtime, bonuses, holiday pay, and sick pay. Ensure company benefits such as pensions, health insurance, and life assurance are processed correctly. Handle pension auto-enrollments and re-enrollments in compliance with regulations. Maintain and update benefit deductions in payroll systems. Collect and review time and attendance records to ensure accurate payroll inputs. Address discrepancies or missing data in time records with employees or managers. Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory returns, including P11Ds, P60s, and PAYE Settlement Agreements. Stay updated on payroll-related legislation and ensure compliance with tax and labor laws. Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers in a professional and timely manner. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or errors in payroll. Use payroll software and Time and Attendance (T&A) systems efficiently. Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure the safekeeping of sensitive employee data in compliance with GDPR and other regulations. Conduct regular checks to identify and correct data errors.
