Kames are on the search for an experienced skipper to work with our team in Argyll, Loch Craignish and Melfort. Heather of Melfort is a 17m multicat with an AK34 HE4 crane. Youll need to be commercially endorsed to the level of Coastal Skipper.

We offer an excellent financial package depending on experience, with a salary of up to £40,500, working one weekend in 3.
You’ll be a senior member within our team, and experience in the aquaculture industry will be a real advantage to you. You’ll be key in supporting the site manager with all aspects of the daily on-site operations, to achieve the highest fish welfare. The skipper is responsible for the safety and security of the vessel and her crew.
The maintenance and performance of the vessel will be under your control, you will be supported by our team onshore, to ensure that the vessel is compliant to the Workboat Code, all equipment is maintained and serviced regularly.
Vessels current work includes feeding with a remote camera, mooring work, net changes, Foover II and feed deliveries.
A full driving licence is essential. Candidates with further education in aquaculture or equivalent occupations will be at an advantage.
