About the role We’re looking for a Technical Manager with expert knowledge relating to pensions, trusts and taxation to join our Technical Support team. You will be passionate about helping us deliver our purpose ‘to make retirement more rewarding’ by supporting the Head of Technical Support in driving products and sales activity through technical knowledge and in conjunction with business goals. To proactively manage technical issues within the business & promote Nucleus Financial as having market leading technical expertise in areas relating to pensions, taxation and trusts. The role is homebased with some travel throughout the UK. You’ll spend your time: Supporting BDMs in achieving sales targets through providing technical advice & services Providing value-added services and proactive support to IFAs and the business: Attendance at 121 meetings with IFA’s Delivery of training & presentations on topical issues Follow up post delivery of services and initiatives Analysing and interpret legislative and technical changes to identify the most effective means to implement and support business objectives: Engage with operations and business development to facilitate implementation Ensure consistency with industry and set standards where possible Ensure accuracy of marketing literature Delivering sales aids in line with commercial and business objectives to support sales Identifying and promote possible sales opportunities as and when they arise. Maintaining the Nucleus technical hub for adviser reference Providing articles & quotes for financial press including supporting the Head of Technical Support Unit in providing articles for his regular press columns. Providing support in respect of all project related work as required Proactive and reactive use of technical knowledge Promoting and protecting the reputation of Nucleus through participation in industry wide events A bit about you You’ll be the one financial advisers call the problem solver. You’ll have a technical mind, the ability to solve problems and be a great communicator with the ability to take complex legislation and put it into layman’s terms. You’ll have a great balance of technical knowledge and commercial acumen along with a real sense of pride in your work. You'll understand the importance of building great relationships across business departments and with financial advisers. Your knowledge and ability will help ensure we achieve our strategic goals and to make retirement more rewarding. We’ve always placed more importance on cultural contribution above technical ability, but to thrive in this role we’d really like you to have: FPC/CFP/ATT/CTA qualification or other relevant qualifications Strong technical knowledge of pensions, taxation and trusts Previous experience in a technical pensions, tax and trust role Strong coaching and influencing skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent presentation skills and ability to engage with a variety of audiences in a variety of situations Ability to understand and disseminate complex technical information to compose sales aids, articles and guidance Exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage own time effectively, prioritise workloads and use own initiative Work effectively in a small team Proven ability to meet targets and deadlines Knowledge and Experience: FPC/CFP/ATT/CTA qualification or other relevant qualifications Strong technical knowledge of pensions, taxation and trusts Previous experience in a technical pensions, tax and trust role A little about us We are the Nucleus Financial Platforms group and we help make retirement more rewarding.
