Role Overview:
This high-profile position offers an exceptional opportunity to become an integral part of the Kingsway operation. You will be reporting to the Building Services Manager and working as part of the building services and safety team. Meeting the challenge of ensuring the building, landscaping, and offices are maintained to the highest standard and fully operational at all times.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
1. To assist in the first line assessment of building related emergencies, breakdowns, and problems.
2. Simple joinery tasks including replacing door handles, hinges, door closers, adjusting doors, refitting wire cables for warehouse doors, fitting notice boards, TV brackets, etc.
3. Plumbing tasks including replacing taps, toilet seats, toilet flushes, isolating leaks, clearing blockages.
4. Replacing lamps, broken facia plates, resetting breakers.
5. Completing minor refurbishment and redecoration works as part of an ongoing schedule of works to keep the site in good condition.
6. Small removals.
7. Cleaning of canteen filters on a regular basis.
8. Assisting in property inspections identifying and acting upon repair requirements.
9. Various other ad hoc tasks as and when required.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
1. Practical knowledge of buildings and building services.
2. IPAF licence is essential, but training could be given to the right operative.
3. Must be able to react to business requirements.
4. Must have a can-do attitude and a flexible approach to working hours.
