Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team. Duties
1. Provide high-quality childcare in a safe and welcoming nursery environment.
2. Engage with children through play, activities, and educational programmes that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
3. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
4. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices.
5. Observe and assess children's progress and development, maintaining accurate records as required.
6. Support the implementation of early years curriculum frameworks and best practices in early childhood education.
7. Drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences while ensuring their safety at all times.
8. Demonstrate leadership qualities by mentoring junior staff and contributing to team discussions on best practices.
Experience
1. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
2. A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
3. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with children and parents alike.
4. The ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour is crucial for this role.
5. A valid driving licence is preferred but not mandatory; however, the ability to commute reliably is essential.
