As one of the agency suppliers to the HM Prison Service for the provision of maintenance trades & support operatives, Hays is seeking to recruit a cleaner for HMP Hewell for 39 hours per week. This is a long-term temporary job with the potential to go permanent, with a rate including holiday of £ per hour and a basic rate of £ per hour.
The cleaner role is in a unique working environment with a strong sense of team working. Always in demand, you could benefit from long-term contracts and there is also potential, once trained, to work in other prisons both locally and nationally. You must be local to the prison or have your own transport.
Purpose Of The Cleaner Role
As part of the Facilities & Waste Disposal team you will be responsible for maintaining the general cleanliness of the prison, including prisoner areas, staff and admin areas. HM Prison Hewell is a multiple security category men's prison in the village of Tardebigge in Worcestershire, England. The prison is operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service.
Experience
Previous cleaning experience is required for this role.
The nature of the role requires candidates to be security conscious and able to challenge potentialpromises and risks, you will also need to be reliable and consistent, level headed and have exceptional interpersonal skills. Successful applicants will have a background in cleaning, and will be assessed based on the followingpetencies: Acting with integrity, respecting others, Building relationships and team working,municating effectively, developing self and others.
Security Clearance Required
All applicants will be subject to the HM Prison Service Security Clearance procedure which includes a DBS check. You must hold a Valid Passport or Birth Certificate & Photo Driving License in your current address. All applicants must be able to provide details of 2 satisfactory references, at least one from an ex-employer. You must have nothing on your criminal record.
