The Estates and Facilities Department at the University of Nottingham provides strategic and operational services support to the University infrastructure, buildings and landholdings. We are a large and diverse department employing approximately 1250 people and provide a wide range of services across our U.K sites.
A qualified and experienced handyperson is required to work within the Estates Department at our local University sites undertaking planned, preventative and responsive maintenance, installation and decoration across all University campuses and buildings.
This position will play a proactive role within a critical response service, engaging with end users to deliver a first-class customer experience within a high-quality environment. You will be a committed, friendly team player who is keen to develop and progress.
Candidates should be qualified to NVQ level 2 or equivalent in an appropriate discipline or have substantial relevant experience and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. As this role requires the post holder to drive between university sites a full current driving licence is also essential for this role.

This position is offered on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week), worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged (mainly Monday to Friday). Flexibility will be required. Job share arrangements may be considered.
