We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Engineering to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £39,198 to £43,740 per annum.

About the role:
As the Lecturer in Engineering, you will teach a range of subjects on Engineering-related courses predominantly level 2 and level 3, specifically in:
1. Engineering maths/science
2. General mechanical
3. Product design
4. Materials
Assess and enhance learner progress by coordinating the delivery of tutorial, pastoral, and additional learning support as appropriate.
Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Engineering will include:
* Scheduled teaching, student assignments, and tutorials
* Distance learning support for groups of students
* Employer and workplace/work placement visits
* Educational guidance and counselling
* Supervision of learning programmes
* Personal tutoring e.g., the carrying out of individual reviews with students, the delivery of group and individual tutorials, workshops (including “Pass-in-Class”). This may be delivered in person or through distance learning
* Support activities as appropriate within the Learning Resource Centre
* Support activities relating to employability, work experience, volunteering
* Support community/personal enrichment activities (including trips related to learning)
As our Lecturer in Engineering, you'll ideally have:
* Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years
* Level 3 apprenticeship and industry experience or Degree in relevant subject
* Experience in facilitating learning for students in either an educational or workplace setting
* Current evidence-based practice in the field of expertise
* Competency in Microsoft Office applications
* Communication skills including written and verbal
* Flexible, adaptable, and resilient, able to work with students of all ages
* Attendance at college events i.e., open evenings including outside of normal working hours
