Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills. It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. When the skill mix within the pharmacy is not appropriate for the Accuracy Checking role to be in place, you will carry out the dispensing process. Effectively checking dispensed prescriptions for accuracy according to the Standard Operating Procedures. Confidently check the legal validity and accuracy of dispensed prescriptions Effectively respond to clinical and legal queries from Healthcare practitioners within area of competence. Effectively respond to customer queries in relation to prescription medicines, informing the Pharmacist of any complaints. Ensure all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed. Ensure dispensary and consulting rooms are clean, tidy and free of clutter. Ensure all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time, demonstrating excellent attention to detail. Bringing promotional activities and company initiatives within the team to life. Actively strive to meet departmental targets set by the Pharmacy Manager. Carrying out all procedures accurately to protect profit and ensure we trade safely and legally. Supporting the Pharmacy Manager and Duty Pharmacy Manager with the supervision and development of other pharmacy team members through coaching and feedback. Be supportive of, and willing to help, colleagues and management at all times. Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy. Registering with the General Pharmaceutical Council as an Accuracy Checking Technician, completing a GPhC recognised training course, following successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program, NVQ 3 or equivalent. Upholding the GPhC standards and public trust in pharmacy so patients have confidence that you are fully qualified and meet all professional, fitness to practise and ethical standards. â–ª Being responsible for undertaking Continuing Professional Development and maintaining annual registration with GPhC each year A pharmacy technician/ accuracy checking technician NVQ (or similar) qualification Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician. Proof of completion of a recognised training course for an Accuracy Checking Technician/ Pharmacy Technician. Proof of completing your annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
