We’re looking for a seasoned Lead Project Engineer to take the helm on a variety of exciting, business-critical engineering projects ranging from £100K to £3M. If you're passionate about delivering complex projects safely, on time, and within budget—and thrive in a collaborative, high-performance environment—this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Take ownership of end-to-end engineering project delivery—from feasibility studies and cost estimation to execution, commissioning, and final handover.
2. Manage day-to-day project execution while supporting Senior Project Managers and a cross-disciplinary engineering team.
3. Lead the safe, timely, and budget-conscious delivery of multiple projects across operations in the UK and Ireland.
4. Oversee on-site activities including contractor management, permit-to-work systems, mechanical and electrical installations, and testing and commissioning.
5. Ensure all engineering work aligns with Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) standards and complies with statutory and internal policies.
6. Be a key player in creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture where innovation, safety, and excellence are at the forefront.
What You Bring to the Table:
1. A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
2. Significant industrial experience in a relevant engineering sector, with proven success in project execution.
3. Strong background in project engineering experience in both client and contractor environments is valued.
4. Proven ability to manage project scope, cost, risk, and timelines while maintaining the highest SHEQ standards.
5. Professional membership (IMechE, IChemE, APM, IET, or equivalent). Chartered status is highly desirable.
6. Ideally, you’ll also bring an APM PMQ qualification or NEBOSH/IOSH certification but if not, support can be provided.
7. You lead with integrity, and naturally foster a safe and inclusive environment.
Why You’ll Want to Work With Us:
