Job overview
Do you want to work for one of the UK’s largest Trusts, situated in the heart of the “Garden of England”, just a stone’s throw from London and with easy, fast access to France and beyond?
The post is to join our very busy team within the cardiology team based on Bartholomew ward at the William Harvey hospital.
We are a 22 bedded ward specialising in cardiology services providing excellent standards of care for those with acute and chronic cardiac conditions. We are a friendly team and work very closely with our colleagues in CCU and the Cardiac catheter suite. We pride ourselves on our standards of care and excellent teamwork. There will be opportunities for training to enhance cardiac skills and knowledge, and the successful candidate will be welcomed to a very popular ward within the trust.
Please note that previous applicants need not apply.
Main duties of the job
We aim to provide safe and effective care that exceeds the expectations of our patients and the public and we are looking for excellent nurses who embrace our Trust values and care so that:
* People feel cared for as individuals
* People feel safe, reassured and involved
* People feel that we are making a difference
* People feel teamwork, trust and respect sit at the heart of everything we do
Working for our organisation
We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. Everything we do is guided by our values: 'People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference’. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. It's about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We're looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.
