A successful, family-run business are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their small but busy team in Wallingford.
Working closely with the wider Accounts team, you will be an integral member of a growing business in a supportive and friendly environment. This role has potential for some hybrid working following successful completion of a probation period and training and support towards further qualifications is available.
The role:
Support with production of the monthly accounts
Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register and Hire Purchase Register
Reconciliations of nominals using accounting software
Calculating monthly commissions & bonuses for staff
KPI reports
Ad-hoc support across accounts team
Producing Profit and Loss and the Balance Sheet for the parent company as a stand-alone entity
The right person:
Strong Bookkeeping skills
Good understanding of double-entry accounting
AAT qualified as a minimum - support available for further qualifications
Excellent attention to detail
Confident with Excel
Experience with Xero is beneficial
Able to commute comfortable to Wallingford
Enjoys working in a close-knit, family-run business with a sociable envrionment
