Estimator / Account Manager

Reed are partnered with a leading engineering manufacturer who are seeking an experienced Estimator / Account Manager to join our innovative team. This role involves estimating costs for new and existing projects, supporting sales and project planners to determine project feasibility and scope.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Prepare accurate estimates and tender bids from customer documentation, specifications, and other related information.
* Determine a programme and timetable for completion of tender in line with company procedures and tender deadlines.
* Log all tender enquiries onto trackers and distribute to business leads.
* Review all appropriate documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
* Identify appropriate suppliers and subcontractors, and prepare and send bid packages for pricing.
* Collate detailed price lists and bills of quantities for each project, including costs of people, plant, materials, transport, labour, and equipment hire.
* Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, seeking out potential tender opportunities.
* Challenge conventional methods in the interest of the company, demonstrating innovation and a proactive approach in delivering company profits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in an Estimating role within an engineering environment.
* Relevant knowledge of engineering within a design and build process.
* Proficiency in 3D modelling software such as AUTOCad, SolidWorks, or similar packages.
* Technical knowledge of the engineering industry, contracts, and manufacturing.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to produce work of consistently high quality to tight deadlines.
