ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of the Civil Engineer
The successful Civil Engineer will work alongside a Senior Civil Engineers when offering Consultancy services to a variety of clients.
The successful Civil Engineer will quickly develop their skills and be given every opportunity to push to the next level.
You will work in the following areas :
1. Outline and detail drainage designs (SuDS and foul water) for various types and scales of developments
2. Modelling of drainage networks using either Flow or MicroDrainage
3. Road and junction design, including detailed design for construction
You will undertake a number of tasks, but specifically :
4. Consultations with various authorities (e.g. Highways England, EA, local councils, utility companies)
5. Site walkovers/assessments
6. Interpretation of geo-technical reports for drainage designs
7. AutoCAD applications, Civil3D and/or Causeway PDS
8. Flood Risk Assessments
REQUIREMENTS
Ideally, the Civil Engineer will have:
9. A completed degree in a Civil Engineering related subject.
10. 12+ months’ experience (including work placement)
