What you'll be doing:
Pro-active Business Development Manager with Training, Conference + Corporate accommodation focus, reporting to the Director of Sales at Kent's Hill Park.
As Business Development Manager, you will pro-actively source new business for the venue, develop relationships with existing agents and direct clients. Following on sales leads, identifying opportunities, and conducting hotel presentations and site visits.
This is a perfect opportunity for a Sale Executive/Sales Manager looking to step up into a larger venue within an established hotel group or a passionate and driven Senior Conference Executive looking for a new challenge in proactive sales.
More about the role:
* This is an office-based role.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local + national businesses and develop relationships to drive business in all segments (conference, training, meeting, corporate and transient).
* Contribute to the delivery of the KHP sales strategy, which encompasses direct sales calls; telesales; research; appointment making; promotional campaigns; corporate entertaining, networking, social events, client familiarisation visits and contract negotiation.
* To constantly recognise and develop new accounts from the corporate markets.
* To investigate new areas of business in terms of market development into new territories and market segments to quantifiable targets.
Who you are:
* Proven sales experience within the hotel industry
* Excellent communication skills
* Confident in meeting new people and presenting to groups
* Strong understanding of revenue management principles
* Driving license and vehicle
