Fintech Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for an Operational Solutions Manager who will be responsible for the Solutions department on behalf of our client, a provider of products and services to the global market within offshore and maritime industries, based in Aberdeen. Our client covers a variety of products from Steel wire and fibre rope solutions, to cable laid slings, grommets, lifting and towing materials, as well as services such as breakload testing and unreeving of cranes and winches. In your new role you will be setting up an Onshore/Offshore Solutions department, with the support and help of the Solutions Team, and you will be commercially and operationally responsible for the Solutions department of the company. You will be running the Solutions Department, working closely with engineers and the wider team to expand the business. To be successful in this role you must have strong technical and commercial experience in a similar role and a strong understanding of onshore/ offshore solutions. Experience in sales/ account management is desirable for this role. Our client is looking for an ambitious individual with strong experience in their field of business who also has great people and communication skills. Key duties of this role: · Sales and account management to build client portfolio but no direct sales experience required · Prepare and (coordinate) supervise projects during implementation. · Reviews and occasionally discusses test results with customers and/or inspection authorities. · Continuously improve test and other working methods and proactively initiate improvement actions for better quality, safer and more efficient work in connection with the Solutions team. · You will be responsible for thorough preparation of the Service, Inspection and Test work. · You will also be responsible for the turnover and costs of the Solutions department. Requirements: · You will be commercially focused and have previously worked in a similar role within the industry. · You must be commercially experienced in inspection and testing and hold account management qualities · Have previous management or supervisory experience and the ability to lead a team · LEEA Certification/ tickets - not required but desirable
