Tes is supporting the appointment of a Teacher of English to join a High School based in Norfolk.
The High School is looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring part time Teacher of English to join their thriving department.
As a Teacher of English, you will plan, prepare and deliver challenging, well-organised English lessons to students across the school, helping students to meet their educational needs and to fulfil their potential in the subject. The successful candidate will have a genuine love for language and literature and will enjoy making a lively contribution to co-curricular activities.
You will be a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher, who is capable of teaching English up to A Level. The post would be suitable for an ECT or a more experienced teacher looking to further their career at a leading independent school.
English at the High School is a vibrant subject taught by a committed team. Their aim is to encourage every student to attain excellent skills of communication, analysis and interpretation through a strong personal engagement with the subject. They teach the CIE IGCSE English Language and English Literature courses. The OCR A Level English Literature course is a popular choice for Sixth Form students and the department has a good track record of students going on to study English at university.
