The Apex Centre is an offsite provision based in Minehead, providing support and therapeutic intervention to vulnerable students from across the Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust. It caters to students aged 5-16 and is set on a 22-acre site with gardens, a small holding, and a Forest School.
Lead Teacher at the APEX Centre

Commencing September 2025
We are seeking to appoint a Lead Teacher to support the Head of the APEX Centre in overseeing bespoke, personalised student provision and coordinating the core subject offer at Apex West.
The successful candidate will coordinate student core and option subject provision, organise and teach some core and option sessions both on-site and online, and oversee the online teaching offer as part of the core curriculum. You will also deputise in the absence of the Head of Centres.
Please note, although we prefer a full-time colleague, we are open to discussing flexible working options.
