As a Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Lead within the Sustainable Infrastructure Service, you’ll be a vital part of our team providing commercial and cost management support at all stages of the project life cycle. You’ll be involved in developing cost estimates to support business case development, you’ll provide accurate cost management reporting and advice through scheme development and delivery and assist in the management of contracts from initial placement to final account.

We’re looking for a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial management team within the council. Holding a degree in Quantity Surveying (or an equivalent RICS accredited degree), you’ll have previous experience working on Highways projects and bring with you a good working knowledge of NEC4 ECC contracts and familiarity with the Method of Measurement for Highway Works. An effective communicator, you will have a professional, proactive approach to all aspects of your work. Experience in supervising the work of junior staff will be an advantage.
