:
Working under the direct supervision of the Lead Nurse, andstrictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the HealthcareAssistant will work as part of the practice multi-disciplinaryteam, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patientpopulation
The Healthcare Assistant will assistclinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, healthpromotion and patient education.

Flu andB12 injections
Chaperoningduties
Processingand management of laboratory samples requested by GPs and nurses
Maintenanceof surgical equipment
Vaccine and coldchain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgicalequipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearingand re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparingand maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patientcare interventions
Assistingin the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
Undertakingspecific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated andtaught specifically in relation to that individual
Helping toraise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
Assistingwith the collection and collation of data on needs related to health andwell-being

1. Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or working towards gaining equivalent level
