The Team:
Export & Agency Finance (“EAF”) is a core growth area for the Global Trade and Supply Chain Finance business. BofA is currently in an expansion mode and the EAF business requires transactors with technical expertise to lead documentation negotiation, cash flow modeling, risk analysis, ESG expertise, and broader EAF related product knowledge related for long term debt structuring.
Role Description:
You will serve as a Vice President within the BofA Export & Agency Finance (“EAF”) team in London, Frankfurt or Stockholm. The focus will be on Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) deal origination and structuring utilizing the full suite of BofA partners at Export Credit Agencies, Multi-Lateral Agencies, and Development Finance Institutions to provide risk mitigation or funding for large scale CAPEX projects. The candidate will need to have considerable marketing and structuring skills to drive origination and execution of new EAF opportunities. Relationship management with the EMEA based Agencies for global opportunities will also be a key responsibility.
Responsibilities:
1. Originate, structure, syndicate, and execute EAF related transactions in the EMEA region.
2. Help drive comprehensive strategy for EMEA EAF and coordinate with the global team to partner for cross-border deal structuring with the global BofA client base.
3. Travel across EMEA for deal origination and present innovative ideas for new financing opportunities.
4. Present new financing proposals for approvals to internal BofA senior management.
5. Coordinate with product partners to deliver joint pitches where appropriate (DCM, leasing, Markets, ABS, etc).
6. Lead deal negotiations with borrowers and work with internal partners to carry deals to financial close.
7. Identify product gaps/opportunities and drive innovative solutions to deliver industry-leading solutions to the broader BofA client base.
8. Work closely with Corporate Banking, Wholesale Credit, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Risk partners to drive profitable, responsible growth while enforcing risk discipline/awareness and product suitability.
9. In partnership with Marketing and Trade PSS execs, increase visibility of the Bank’s EAF business by supporting execution of a comprehensive internal/external marketing campaign.
10. Work with Trade Distribution and DCM partners to syndicate new transactions.
11. Represent the Bank at Trade conferences and on industry working groups.
12. Work with junior colleagues to foster development among the team.
13. Partner with Environmental and Social Governance group to identify priority transactions.
What we are looking for:
1. Prior experience in EAF or transferrable debt related product structuring.
2. Cash flow modelling and pricing analysis.
3. Ability to work cohesively with a broader team globally.
4. Basic orientation with EAF suite of products.
5. Relationship management skills to manage broader client base.
