Fulcrum Engineering are acting as an Employment Business on behalf of our Clients.
Covering sectors such as Mechanical/Piping & Structural Contracts, Estimating & Site Managers, Supervisors & Engineers. These roles will be senior roles but will still require very good all-round skills & experience covering estimating, surveying, costing, planning & managing work.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing or Supervising Contracts on several large sites and some smaller sites within the Food, Plastic, and Chemical Process Industries.
2. Ensuring customer care and service with existing established customers, ensuring that their work is reviewed, planned in, and completed to cost, schedule, and safely.
3. Attending regular meetings with the customers' Managers.
4. Establishing new contacts with potential customers and monitoring and developing relationships with established customers.
5. After initial contact with customers, carrying out site visits to establish customer's specifications and gather enough information to produce a written quotation for work.
6. Generating lists of materials/parts, sub-contract services, and hire equipment that are required for quotation purposes, providing them to the procurement department to obtain cost-effective prices and timely delivery dates.
7. Producing written quotations based on the agreed scope of works with the customer, incorporating labour, material, and hire costs.
8. Ensuring that all customers' requirements have been identified correctly in the quotation and filing as pending until the customer accepts or rejects the quotation.
9. Once a quotation is accepted, verifying that the scope of work is unchanged, agreeing on the installation programme with the customer, ensuring that long deliveries of items can meet the programme, and that correct labour skills and numbers are available.
10. Coordinating mechanical/electrical interface together with sub-contract suppliers.
11. Instructing the company Buyer to order any material or hire equipment required and identifying any delivery problems that could affect the programme.
12. Expediting critical deliveries to ensure programme requirements are achieved.
13. Instructing Company Supervisors on work requirements together with pre-work site visits if necessary, assisting with the preparation of method statements and risk assessments ensuring they are approved by the client prior to any site works commencing.
14. Ensuring that all time sheets/job sheets always accurately reflect the work and hours carried out on site.
15. Controlling project costs and communicating with the accounts department.
16. When work is completed and having confirmed that the customer is satisfied, auditing all costs incurred to ensure that information for final invoicing is correct.
17. Carrying out regular audits on all work to ensure that standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are being maintained.

Contract Roles or Permanent Roles available.
Pay depending on qualifications & experience:
* From £28 to £32 + per hour on Contract basis.
* From £40,000 to £50,000 + p.a on Permanent basis.
Working Hours: 0730 to 1630 Mon to Fri.
Qualifications: HND or higher ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Estimating & Surveying experience, Sales & Business Development Customer relations, Safety ideally IOSH or SMSTS, Driving Licence, Computer Literate.
Site Locations: Kings Lynn, Newark, Norwich, Bury St Eds areas.
