Job overview
We are looking for experienced nurses to join our team as a Sister/Charge Nurse on Templar Ward. At Newton Abbot, we ensure that nursing staff are available throughout the 24-hour period, maintaining high standards of care and safety at all times and providing visible leadership.
You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care and discharge planning is provided and will be an excellent communicator and role model, capable of leading both the ward and the community hospital team in the absence of the Ward Manager or Matron.

Newton Abbot Hospital is a Community Hospital with 2 inpatient wards, Out-Patient Services, and an Urgent Treatment Centre. Templer Ward is a 30-bedded ward with 20 beds dedicated to stroke and neuro rehabilitation.

Person specification
* NMC registered.
* Ability to lead ward and team.
* Clinical skills to support team.
* Degree or working towards.
* Previous stroke and neuro experience.
* Knowledge of local systems.
