Band 2 Ward Clerk-Patient Administration

We have a great opportunity for enthusiastic, organised people to join the ward clerk team at Heartlands Hospital. There are 3 posts all part-time, 1 post 22.5 hours a week and the others are 19.25 hours each. The successful candidates would provide administrative support to a ward being the first point of contact to all users of the wards.
Main duties of the job
1. Greeting Patients, visitors and staff
2. Updating Oceano system with admissions/transfers/discharges
3. Booking appointments
4. Liaising with staff/relatives
5. Answering phones/buzzers
6. Lifting/carrying patient notes
7. Filing notes

* Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4
Experience
* Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
* Experience of using IT systems
