This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you a skilled IT trainer? Can you communicate technical information and business processes to a non-technical audience? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your training delivery skills using a variety of training methodologies?
You will be responsible for designing and delivering a range of IT learning and development activities to be delivered to a diverse range of audiences across the university. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills you will be able to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively, tailoring your message to meet the needs of your audiences.
You will identify new training needs for different audiences and will be responsible for ensuring the quality of the learning and development is assessed, measured and reported effectively to inform future developments in the service. You will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of generic materials and make recommendations on the most effective options.
You will be able to utilise and adapt existing training materials to ensure suitability for the subject matter being delivered. As the systems you train on are enhanced and developed you will be able to create new material to engage existing users and deliver training on the changes. These may be for face-to-face courses, online working or other learning resources. You will be allocated a portfolio of specialist areas to deliver training in but may be required to deliver other training as appropriate. Where necessary, you will work with relevant subject matter experts from within IT and the wider University in the development, design and delivery of training sessions. You will have excellent organisational skills, and be able to effectively influence and collaborate with a diverse range of colleagues.
