Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a global engineering company that specialises in project management and consultancy services within the nuclear sector to recruit a SHEQ Advisor for either it's Bristol or Blackburn site.
The SHEQ Advisor role comes with a salary of up to £40,000, car allowance and hybrid working. This role involves conducting safety walkdowns and overseeing the quality of the activities and supply chain.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the SHEQ Director you will:
Conduct SHEQ audits for projects
Support Business Units during client audits and help resolve non-conformances related to SHEQ
Provide guidance on management systems and offer coaching to team members
Collaborate with Business Units to improve processes and maintain effective operations
Deliver regular communications on SHEQ topics relevant to current activities
Assist with incident investigations and support HSE responses
Track and report on SHEQ metrics for Business Units
Capture and manage Lessons Learned for continuous improvement
Assist with SHEQ -related questions for bid proposals
Provide day-to-day support to project teams on quality, environmental, and health and safety matters
Participate in external IMS audits as required (ISO, Achilles, RISQS)
Support wider SHEQ team initiatives as needed
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Minimum 2 years in an SHEQ role
Internal Auditor qualification in ISO 45001, ISO 9001, or ISO 14001
Tech IOSH membership
Proficiency in Microsoft 365
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to obtain security clearance
Experience in sectors like Nuclear, Transport Infrastructure, Rail, Construction, or Energy services.
