This role will be dedicated to supporting April Six, a Marketbridge company, in its EMEA operations. Marketbridge recently acquired April Six, a global full-service integrated agency. You will be working collaboratively with the Director, People Team (US based) and the Managing Director, EMEA, Agency Services (UK based). You will oversee two London/Manchester based teams, with the scope to expand the role, in-line with regional growth, to include supporting acquisition and expansion. Marketbridge has 320 team members and growing, with offices in the US, Canada and the UK.
Role
Working closely with the global People Team you will primarily provide hands on HR generalist support to our UK based team. You will play a key role in supporting the employee experience, from initial stages of talent recruitment, onboarding, day-to-day experience, and offboarding. This includes a range of project work, organizational development, employee relations, talent, diversity, inclusion & belonging, recruitment, administration, and provide strategic HR partnership to our business leaders. This is a varied and dynamic role, and one that offers opportunity to support across a range of business and people objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Provide coaching and development to management and employees on HR issues and career development.
* Aid with talent management including recruitment, employee development, and succession planning initiatives.
* Conduct new hire orientations on weekly or as-needed basis; maintain current new hire orientation materials and presentation.
* Conduct exit interviews, collect data, identifies trends and prepares reports as necessary.
* Partner with the finance team to ensure seamless, accurate payments to employees.
* Manage overall benefits, insurance and wellness programs.
* Accurately manage employee data, information, and updates.
* Stay current with UK employment law that impacts the HR function.
* Recommend and manage updates to HR policies.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations and legislation.
* Partner successfully with third party vendors to deliver quality employee experiences to the team.
* Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
* Experience in a Human Resource Generalist role.
* CIPD membership (or equivalent knowledge and experience) is essential.
* Proven experience in employee relations, change management, and performance management.
* Prior experience with company acquisitions and integrations.
* Payroll & benefits knowledge is required.
* Prior experience with HR software, such as JazzHR or Paylocity.
* Knowledge of commonly used HR concepts, practices, and laws.
* Ability to set and manage priorities. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multi-task a variable workload with attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, using sound judgment and decision-making skills.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to multitask is necessary.
* Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Must demonstrate professionalism, effective communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
