We are recruiting a Housing Register Assessment Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday – Friday)

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Caerphilly Homes Housing Solutions Team.
We pay an attractive salary of £27,711 - £30,060 and offer access to training and development opportunities.
The role requires the post holder to undertake assessments in accordance with Caerphilly County Borough Councils Common Allocations Policy that it administers on its social landlord partners behalf. You will be required to communicate and engage with the public, elected members, social landlords and other relevant partners agencies through a variety of communication methods. You will also be expected to make referrals to other departments when appropriate and provide advice on housing prospects to applicants where property type and area selection is concerned.
The Successful applicant will need to have excellent customer care skills and be an effective communicator. The post offers a mix of both agile and office working on a Rota basis which is devised by the Senior Allocations Officer.
For the role, we ask that you have:
1. 5 GCSEs Grade A*-C or equivalent. Or a relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
2. Awareness of Health and Safety requirements in relation to own personal safety.
3. Experience of working directly with members of the public / customers.
