Health Care Support Workers - Children & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)

Exciting opportunities are available to join CAMHS Inpatient Unit within the Royal Hospital for Children & Young People. We have multiple Band 3 positions available for Health Care Support Workers and we are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our highly skilled nursing teams. Our 12-bedded inpatient unit is located at Little France with the Children’s services but remains part of REAS and the Mental Health service.
We offer the opportunity to work with talented teams within multidisciplinary environments and impact positively on the lives of thousands of patients and their families.
Role
* Based in the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People.
* Working with 12-18 year olds with various mental health illnesses.
* Learn skills such as venepuncture and how to monitor physical observations.
* Learn how to do meal support for young people with eating disorders.
* Flexible working hours where possible.
* Challenging but worthwhile role assisting young people through their journey to recovery.
Key Requirements
* Desirable to have competencies in physical health monitoring.
* Previous experience in working with young people and a willingness to work with a variety of different illnesses.
* Interested in developing the skills to become a great Child and Adolescent Nurse.
* The working pattern for this post is Monday-Friday 09:00-17:00.
