Compass Associates are supporting an independent healthcare provider in their search for a Managing Director to join their team on a permanent basis. Their mission is to improve patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery. We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Managing Director to join the leadership team and drive our commercial initiatives.
Job Summary:
The role holder is the accountable commercial lead of a business unit and responsible for strategic planning, financial management, and leading cross-functional teams to execute the commercial strategy and objectives of the business unit. The role holder is accountable for the overall EBITDA delivery and long-term growth strategy of the business unit. Responsibilities include, but are not exclusive to, the design and embedding of the growth strategy for the business unit, and day-to-day management oversight of end-to-end P&L delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with company goals.
* Lead market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and the NHS.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and drive sales initiatives.
* Oversee marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and customer needs.
* Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights to optimise growth.
* Manage and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards in all commercial activities.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial leadership roles within the healthcare industry.
* Experience working with the NHS and managing NHS contracts.
* Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
* Strong understanding of healthcare systems, regulations, and payer dynamics.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to analyse complex data and make informed strategic decisions.
* Having experience in Gastroenterology would be ideal but not essential.
* Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
