We actively seek to drive consumption, adoption, and customer satisfaction with the objective of tangibly contributing to customer success and growth. The FinOps Analyst will join our growing diverse team of experienced IT professionals to deliver industry-leading cost optimisation and analysis to our extensive portfolio of managed-service clients – with specific focus on the technical and financial optimisation of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure consumption. You will be part of an industry-leading FinOps team. There is now an expectation to understand the customers' data and attend all customer calls you generate. The objective is to conduct analysis and generate reports to demonstrate the savings achieved and achievable by taking Bytes FinOps services and thereby drive further customer engagement. Optimisation is recommended and achieved based on the application of experience and deep technical knowledge of the product sets and usage rights which are given further context by the considered application of the most advantageous commercial engagement models. Bytes have developed a range of proprietary toolsets to support the delivery of these services as well as leveraging proven and well-established software applications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Creation of FinOps/cost optimisation reports for both Microsoft 365 and/or Azure, using Bytes’ native optimisation tool. Support consultants in ad hoc requests for customers who use the Quantum toolset. INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance of customer pricing and other information within the Quantum toolset. Contribute to the improvement of the Quantum toolset through regular feedback and review. Work with the data analysts to resolve possible issues regarding data anomalies. Establish and maintain a productive working relationship with Consultants and Sales teams. Contribute to overall service improvement through regular feedback and reviews. Contribute to knowledge exchange within the team of Optimisation Consultants at Bytes. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: Educational Qualifications: Minimum 5 x GCSE’s at A-C. University equivalent level degree. Professional Qualifications: Years of Experience: 1 year in a customer facing role where Microsoft 365 / Azure have been prominent. Any experience working in a project delivery function with experience of managing and delivering services to customers. Other Requirements: Competent in the use of Excel to display data and present reports. Confident presenter and speaker. Core Competencies & Skills: Be able to work independently for sustained periods, as some tasks can take several hours. Ability to pick up new concepts through self-learning/teaching and willingness to learn.
