Our award-winning finance team is looking to hire a Cash and Bank Finance Officer who will be responsible for varied accounting duties, focusing on all aspects of treasury and delivering a high-quality financial service across LSTM and its subsidiaries.
Key responsibilities include:
Treasury Management
* Set up and maintain a report summarising cash balances across all companies and currencies on a monthly basis
* Agree with the senior financial accountant the appropriate “alert” thresholds for cash across all companies and currencies, regularly evaluating the thresholds to make changes as appropriate and notifying senior leaders when thresholds are met to agree solutions
* Produce a monthly treasury summary for the finance leadership team, including balances, recommendations for any changes to bank account structure and reports on any operational issues with providers
* Completing day to day banking entries for all companies and bank accounts, acting as the key liaison between various banking institutions
* Correspond with external partners, acting as the key liaison to order foreign currency in required denominations and process regular reconciliation of currency received, addressing any issues that arise
* Liaise with claimant to request correction of anomalies identified within the foreign payment form
* Reconcile receipts against budget within the specified timeframe and comply with budget restrictions in relation to advances given
* Maintain foreign exchange rate in LSTM’s finance system and publish the monthly project budget exchange rate.
* Management of the corporate purchasing card
* Produce monthly and quarterly intercompany and external interest calculations relating to external bank loans
* Complete relevant reconciliations
The successful candidate will bring:
* Previous experience of treasury duties
* Experience of dealing with multi companies with differing financial processes and multi currencies
* Proven experience of financial reporting and processing complex reconciliations, using financial management software and systems
* Experience of completing VAT returns
* 5 GCSEs at grade C or above or equivalent including Maths and English Language
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external agencies, communicating complex financial information to non-financial staff
* Problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to determine the impact of an issue and reprioritise work accordingly
An Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification (or equivalent) would be highly desirable, yet not essential.
