Regional Sales Manager, EMEA Department: Sales, Marketing, and Product Management Employment Type: Full Time Location: Norwich UK Reporting To: Sr. Director of Global Sales Description Position: Regional Sales Manager, EMEA Department: Knowles Precision Devices Sales & Marketing Reports to: Sr. Director of Global Sales The Regional Sales Manager EMEA is mainly responsible for growing sales of EMEA region through developing business in industrial market and managing rep/distributor partners. This position has no immediate direct reports and reports to the Sr. Director of Global Sales. Key Responsibilities - Define both the potential and existing industrial accounts. Develop strategic plan that will position the company's services and products to maximize market share in both. - Provide support to reps and distributors based on knowledge of products and applications, and support Business Development Managers growing other vertical markets in EMEA, e.g. defense, medical, etc. - Monitoring the results of sales activities against planned objectives. Reporting the results to senior management and implementing corrective actions as necessary. - Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers, including key personnel in engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and purchasing. - Identify and communicate customer product and technology requirements to appropriate Product and R&D personnel. - Achieve assigned sales, account development, and other targets. - Functioning as a key participant in sales negotiations with major customers in closing sales. - Develop forecasting plans. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise - Thorough understanding of industrial market of EMEA. - Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation, negotiation, and influencing. - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, distributors, sales representatives, and managers. - Advanced knowledge of consultative sales approach and closing techniques. - Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents. - Proven record of a successful team leader is preferred. - Work from home and set schedule accordingly. - Must be able to travel between home and various domestic customer locations. - Expected travel is approximately 50% - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master's Degree in a technical field or MBA is desired). - Relevant electrical/electronic manufacturing product and industry knowledge preferred. - 8 years' experience in components/systems sales for OEM's.
