About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst at Midwich you will be directly reporting into our Head of Business Data and Reporting, within our Business Support Department. This role will focus on extracting, analysing, and interpreting complex datasets to provide actionable insights for the business. The successful person will play a key role in shaping data-driven strategies that support sales, customer experience, supply chain optimisation, and operational efficiency.
What you will be doing in this role
1. Analyse large and complex datasets from multiple sources, including sales, customer transactions, inventory, and supply chain data.
2. Develop and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
3. Work closely with sales, brand management, and operations teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
4. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within data to optimise business processes, improve sales strategies, and enhance customer experience.
5. Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making across various departments.
6. Collaborate with IT to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data across all systems.
7. Present findings and insights to senior leadership in a clear and compelling manner.
8. Mentor the data analysts within the department, ensuring best practices in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation are followed.
9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve data analysis processes.
What you will bring to the role
1. Experience in data analysis, preferably in a B2B environment.
2. Proficiency in data analysis tools and data visualisation platforms like Phocas, Power BI, Qlik or Looker.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
4. Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or supply chain management systems.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
6. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
