Your New Role
As Head of Finance, you will step in to critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, taking the part of strategic advisor to the Board and SLT by providing a depth of understanding and narrative to financial information. You’ll need to be someone who enjoys rolling your sleeves up and getting in to the detail.
You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial and management reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting and taxation standards, financial planning and analysis, and driving continuous improvement within the finance function.
Invivo's focus on microbiome testing technology and supplements, requires you as Head of Finance to partner with various business units and stakeholders to contribute to the company's mission of positively impacting lives through advanced microbiome research and development.
This role is instrumental in driving financial excellence and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
· Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely financial and management reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
· Financial Planning and Analysis: Acting as a trusted advisor to senior management, providing technical and strategic guidance during the budgeting and forecasting process, conducting in-depth financial analysis to provide insights and support strategic initiatives.
· Financial Compliance: Accountable for ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting, establishing and maintaining a robust internal control framework.
· Reporting to the Board and SLT: Developing reporting and analysis for the business, interacting with various stakeholders to address inquiries, build strong relationships, and provide strategic advice to the Board and SLT.
· Continuous Improvement: Actively seeking ways to improve financial systems, reporting accuracy, financial processes and data integrity while leveraging technological advancements and best practice for greater efficiency.
· Manage External Audit Process: Maintaining a positive relationship with auditors, serving as the main point of contact, and facilitating effective communication while establishing the audit scope, plan and timelines. Reviewing and approving draft audit reports.
· Develop and Grow the Finance Team: Providing guidance, training, coaching and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to ensure the team's effectiveness and professional growth.
Qualifications / Skills
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA
* 7 years + proven experience in a similar senior finance role.
* Strong technical financial accounting and consolidation experience.
* Experienced in managing external audit processes.
* IFRS accounting standard exposure.
* Experienced in financial reporting systems.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel & Word and summarizing information in report format
* Experienced in managing an ERP system.
* Strategic thinker with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
* Experienced in coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
* Hands on and versatile.
* Collaborative team worker.
Job Types: Full Time / 4 days per week, Permanent
Pay: Up to £80,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 31 to 38.75 hours per week
