Adkins & Cheurfi Recruitment are looking to recruit a Head Housekeeper on behalf of a dynamic hospitality group based in Chathill, Northumberland. Due to continued success and a focus on future development, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper. As Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness across the estate, including the hotel and event venues. You will oversee and develop the housekeeping team, working closely with other departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of committed housekeeping professionals. Uphold high standards of cleanliness throughout all hotel rooms, public areas, and event venues. Conduct daily inspections to ensure all areas meet company cleanliness standards. Assign tasks to room attendants and oversee checklist completion. Train and mentor the housekeeping team to reach their full potential. Assist in housekeeping operations, including room cleaning when necessary. Manage departmental costs, including payroll, supplies, and inventory. Ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to at all times. Coordinate with other departments to resolve any maintenance or guest-related concerns. Maintain an organised and efficient lost and found procedure. Support event and wedding teams by ensuring venue spaces are clean and ready for viewings and events. Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience. What We’re Looking For: Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to train and motivate a team to maintain high performance. Experience managing housekeeping operations, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting. Proficiency with technology and housekeeping management systems. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed. Physically able to stand for long periods, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks. Professional and well-groomed appearance in line with hospitality standards. Requirements: Prior housekeeping managerial experience. Previous experience in a hospitality setting preferred.
