Job summary London wide NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) Programme for CBT High Intensity Therapists Psychological therapy services across London are now recruiting CBT High Intensity Trainees as part of the NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) programme. These services deliver evidence based psychological therapies for people with anxiety and depression. Applicants without a core mental health profession (such as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners or Counsellors without UKCP or BACP accreditation) must be able to meet the required KSA process criteria. Main duties of the job Please note that PWP's need to have a minimum of 3 years full-time experience, two of which are as a qualified practitioner. Those without a valid permit to work in the UK are not eligible to apply for this position. The training programme consists of three days working with NHS Talking Therapies Barking & Dagenham service, of which a minimum of one day will be at base, and two days at university taught by experts in the field. Each training place involves being employed by a service for the length of the training contract. Contracts of employment will be at a Band 6 or equivalent and fixed-term for one year whilst training. Royal Holloway/CNWL will provide the training. This higher education institution (HEIs) has been selected based on its ability to demonstrate the capacity, knowledge and expertise to deliver the curriculum that has been developed for this training course. About us NHS Talking Therapies Barking & Dagenham - Applicants will be required to work one evening per week. Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period.
