We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Technical Team Leader to join our Estates department. This key role offers the chance to contribute significantly to the delivery of an efficient and effective estates service within the Campus Services Department.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Deliver an efficient and effective estates service within the Campus Services Department, including but not limited to mechanical fault diagnosis and first response to incidents and emergencies across the entire College Group.
* Supervise a multidisciplinary team, ensuring work activities are appropriately scheduled and managed.
* Proactively oversee incoming reactive tasks, ensuring the provision of a professional, effective, and efficient service while maintaining compliance with all statutory and non-statutory maintenance requirements.
* Offer advice and guidance to peer Managers, Estates Managers, and the Group Director of Campus and Digital Services on matters related to capital projects.
* Assist other Managers in the Estates and wider Campus Services Department with assigned tasks as directed.
What We’re Looking For:
* Relevant Level 3 technical qualifications in Mechanical Discipline or an equivalent.
* Currently hold or are willing to work towards an IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
* Currently hold or are willing to work towards an ILM First Line Manager qualification (or equivalent).
* Full, clean driving licence (desirable).
* Completion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship (desirable).
* Experience in writing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Permit to Work documentation.
