Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Catering Supervisor to join our dedicated team of staff at the Western Isles Hospital. Working closely with the Catering Manager and Chefs, you will ensure there is a high quality of service provision and that food safety systems are followed.
Responsibilities
1. Support all catering staff within the department, ensuring the correct systems and policies are followed.
2. Oversee stores, kitchen, dining rooms, and the patient food service.
3. Manage front of house services and the daily running of the wider catering department.
4. Communicate effectively and solve problems proactively to support and improve the service.
Requirements
1. A current intermediate food hygiene certificate.
2. Understanding of food safety systems and current Allergen legislation.
3. Supervisory experience and the ability to motivate and lead a team.
Hours of work are over a 3 week cycle, working up to 5 days per week with shifts between 7am – 7.30pm, including occasional weekends. We offer enhanced rates of pay for hours worked at the weekend and a generous annual leave entitlement of 27 days rising to 33 days including public holidays. We also offer access to the NHS pension scheme and to paid special leave.
