Job summary The role of the Senior Occupational Therapist will be to provide high quality rehabilitation care to our residents and will involve working at both sites; Lillington House and Helen Ley House. This will involve a range of neurological and MSK assessment and intervention skills, across different phases of treatment (slow stream rehabilitation to long term maintenance). The post is advertised under a 2 year contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent. Main duties of the job To work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in carrying out therapeutic activities to provide the optimal level of person centred support for adults with complex neurological conditions. To treat residents, working within wellbeing, compensatory and rehabilitative approaches in a caring home environment. The post holder will be required to carry out individual and group therapy sessions within the different phases of treatment. About us Castel Froma Neuro Care runs two care centre sites, Lillington House and Helen Ley for those with neurological conditions and brain injury. We provide 24 hour nursing care as well as therapies including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech & language, psychology and dietetics. Staff at CFNC work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT). This involves bringing together professionals of different backgrounds to work as a team in devising and implementing care packages to meet the individual needs and requirements of each resident.
